Aloha!

My Hawaiian name is Hapu'u-Pulu, but you can also call me the Hawaiian Tree Fern. I'm a very popular ornamental here in Hawaii. Hotels as well as office buildings use me to bring elegance to a garden area. Even islanders love my lacy green fronds, and in the wetter areas of the various islands, you will see me gracefully adorning their gardens. Remember, whether you remember Hapu'u-Pulu or Hawaiian Tree Fern, the point is, this is rain-forest-hawaii at it's best!

How to grow the Hawaiian Tree Fern:

Position your fern VERTICALLY, and bury it deep enough into potting soil mixed with sponge rock, so that it does not topple over. This plant needs lots and lots of water. Water it from the top (where the buds are) at least twice a day.

Important: Don't let it dry out! Your fern needs moisture! Mist its fronds daily.

The fern enjoys filtered sunlight, and is most comfortable in temperatures that range from 60℉ to 80℉. It responds very well to feeding by liquid fertilizer, especially when it's poured on the top and sides of the trunk.
